Sue Vann has almost left us. Saturday morning she'll be on her way back to Carolina Beach. I say back because that's where she came from about a year ago. She seems to have lots of friends embracing the idea of her return. Take care of her you Carolina Beach friends, we have grown to love her too! She will be missed.

Spring is springing

The new "stuff " from the show in Atlanta is coming in as I write. UPS and FED EX certainly know where the store is. If you want to escape the dreariness of February, come in and see the new bright colors of spring! And the baby and children stuff....oh my goodness, what fun that is!!!
This past Saturday, with the cold rain and all, I thought I'd want something hot to drink but just wasn't in the mood. Sooo, Sue Vann fixed me her famous mango peach smoothie....mmmm...mmmm....mmmmm.
You've just got to come in.

Flood Waters

Here we go again! Can you imagine all that rain being snow? Ha! makes the rain look mighty good now, doesn't it! I do love snow but I like the perfect snow under perfect conditions. Are you chilled or are the "50s" feeling pretty good? The store offers a big assortment of hot drinks besides their great coffee. I had a heath mocha steamer the other day. It was mighty fine. Steph, Weng and Sue willl fix you right up and when Kim gets back today or Wednesday I bet she'll have something new to create.

January hours are 8AM-5PM. Stephanie and Weng are unpacking a new shipment of scarves....and according to Skip, it looks like we are going to need them!

The snow in Atlanta has slowed down Kim and Mack because it delayed the vendor show they are attending. Can't wait to see what goodies are in line for the store this spring!

A New Year

Today begins a new year at the store. That beginning will be delayed until noon because of the awesome snow that fell yesterday. Kim and Mack are still on their trip. They will be going to a show in Atlanta to see what unique and interesting items they can bring into the store. Stephanie and Weng will be at the store today, so drop by and have that coffee you've been missing for a week. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Well, matey's, a great Saturday was enjoyed by all who came to the store. Jack Sparrow mommicked all he could. The little pirates were quite taken, all though some would rather walk the plank than have anything to do with him. The ladies from Davis First Baptist thank all who supported their fundraiser. The proceeds are earmarked for needy families for Christmas.

"It's beginning to look a lot like ......C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S in pink /turquoise/limegreen/red/green inside the store .....FA...LA..LA..LA...LA...LA..LA...LA...LA! Weng and Kim ( I think Mack may have helped ) put up an ornament tree in the middle of the store. It's a six foot crabpot tree that displays the ornaments, seasonal and Christmas. It's phenomenal. Christmas, don't you just love that word? Much nicer than Happy Holidays. Not that we don't wish Happy Holidays too. There are a lot of holidays between now and the end of the year. But Christmas IS Christmas afterall.

Weng says...The Store EVENT for this weekend Saturday 10/23 Starting at 10AM is Breakfast with the Pirate, can you say ARRRRRRRR ! After that we will have a couple of games and treats for the kids. You are very much welcome to have them wear a non scary costume and be entered in a raffle for a free Frappe' drink. We've gotten in some really cute halloween gourds by Gina Dearaway. There's some pumpkins, black cats, pumpkins & black cats on candlesticks and spider webs and witches too. They are sooo colorful and detailed. Imagine...these are GOURDS!!!!
